Privacy Policy

Vecline collects nothing.

Not "we anonymise it", not "we only keep it briefly". There is no server to send anything to, so there is nothing to collect, store, share, or retain.

This policy covers Vecline Studio (the web app at vecline.xyz), the vecline command-line tool and library, and the Vecline MCP server and desktop extension.

What data is collected

None. Specifically, Vecline does not collect:

• the images, documents or files you convert, or anything derived from them
• your name, email address, or any account details — there are no accounts
• usage analytics, telemetry, event tracking, or crash reports
• cookies, advertising identifiers, or fingerprinting signals
• your IP address (beyond the ordinary web-server logs described below)

How your files are used and stored

Files you open are processed in memory on your device and are not written anywhere except where you explicitly save them. Vecline Studio holds your image only for as long as the tab is open; closing or reloading it discards everything. Your theme preference is kept in your browser's own localStorage and never leaves the browser.

The command-line tool, library, MCP server and desktop extension read and write only the paths you give them.

Third parties

Nothing is shared with anyone, because nothing is collected. Vecline Studio makes no network requests at all while converting — no analytics, no fonts, no CDNs, no error reporting. Once loaded it works with your connection switched off, which is the simplest proof of this claim.

Two honest exceptions, both under your control and neither involving your files:

• Hosting. vecline.xyz is served by GitHub Pages, which like any web host records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent) when the page is downloaded. That is GitHub's processing, not ours, and it covers loading the page — never its contents. See GitHub's privacy statement.
• Optional local helpers. The desktop extension may fetch the vecline package from the npm registry the first time it runs, and Office conversion invokes a copy of LibreOffice already installed on your machine. Neither transmits your documents anywhere.

Data retention

There is no retention period because there is no stored data. Nothing about you or your files persists anywhere under our control, so there is nothing to request, export, or delete. If you want to remove Vecline entirely, uninstall the package or extension and clear the site from your browser.

Children

Vecline is a general-purpose tool that collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.

How to verify all of this

You do not have to take our word for it, which is the point:

• Open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab, and convert an image — you will see no outbound requests.
• Disconnect from the internet and use the Studio anyway; it keeps working.
• Read the source. The Studio's code is public at Vecline-Studio, and the engine is open source (MIT) at Vecline.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes it will be updated on this page with a new date below. Any change that introduced data collection would be announced in the project's release notes, not made quietly.
